Senator Perdue Talks Supreme Court With Sean Hannity

ATLANTA, GA – U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) joined The Sean Hannity Show to discuss Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearings and the path forward in the Senate.

Highlights:

Judge Amy Coney Barrett: “If every American could meet Amy Coney Barrett, they would absolutely march on Washington saying ‘Of course, she needs to be our next Supreme Court Justice!’”

Precedent: “The Democrats are playing pure partisan politics. There is no reason why Judge Barrett should not confirmed. Historical legacy backs us up to go ahead and nominate and confirm. I think now, having conversations with our leadership, we will actually get that done before the election.”

Court Packing: “By packing the Supreme Court, Chuck Schumer will remove the balance that we’ve enjoyed for over 150 years between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches. Democrats want a Supreme Court that will make law, not just apply law. They don’t want a Supreme Court that will support the Constitution, they want to rewrite it.”

Dangerous Agenda: “I believe Chuck Schumer when he says he’s worked too hard to be the Majority Leader not to get things done. He will add D.C. and Puerto Rico as new states, and he eventually wants to get rid of the Electoral College. What he’s talking about is that he wants a one-party state. Schumer and Biden will absolutely pack the court, and that’s one of the most dangerous things I’m hearing coming from that side.”

Results: “When you look at Democrats’ economic record, it’s really abysmal. In 8 years under Barack Obama and Joe Biden, 800,000 Americans fell into poverty. In 3 years, pre-COVID, 6.6 million people were lifted out of poverty because of what Donald Trump’s done with this economy.”
