WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) caught up with Bill Hemmer on Fox News to discuss the latest developments in the Senate impeachment trial.

House Managers’ Hypocrisy: “I’m outraged at the hypocrisy of the House managers who have come over to the U.S. Senate to lecture us on fairness and due process after they gave us the fruit of a poisonous tree in these two illegitimate articles.”

Do Their Job: “This is clearly an illegitimate process. Democrats want us to do their job for them now and subpoena witnesses that they didn't handle in the U.S. House.”

Precedent For Witnesses: “In the Clinton impeachment trial, the Senate called three witnesses. Those witnesses had already been deposed and gave testimony in the House’s investigation. That’s a bright line for me. They were not new witnesses. The House’s responsibility is to refer the case to the Senate, which means they investigate, bring the information in, and give it to us. The Senate’s job is to rule on the evidence they bring to us.”

Question For Adam Schiff: “For my first question, I’d like Adam Schiff to explain to us how he represented that there were eight examples of quid pro quo when the call transcript was made public.”
