Senator David Perdue Receives Spirit Of Enterprise Award

Recognized As Champion For Georgia’s Business Community

MACON, GA – U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) addressed the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s congressional luncheon and received the Chamber’s Spirit of Enterprise Award for his efforts to create a business-friendly climate that fuels economic growth.

“Georgia has been named the best state in the country in which to do business for six consecutive years, and without a doubt, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce plays a huge role in that success,” said Senator Perdue. “I personally want to thank President Chris Clark and the entire Chamber for their commitment to supporting our local communities and preserving the free-enterprise system that has driven this historic economic turnaround. By working together, we can continue fostering a business-friendly climate and attracting the country’s most successful companies to our state. I also want to thank Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao for joining us and for continuing to make Georgia’s infrastructure needs a priority.”
