Senator David Perdue Comments On White House Budget

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA), a member of the Senate Budget Committee, comments on President Trump’s budget for fiscal year 2018:

“We finally have a president who is willing to make tough choices and work towards dealing with this financial catastrophe. Despite heading in the right direction, in reality, this budget proposal will likely never be put into action because of the broken budget process in Washington. We cannot take our eye off the bigger picture, and I believe the only way forward is to completely change the way Congress funds the federal government.”

Senator Perdue is the only Fortune 500 CEO in Congress and is serving his first term in the United States Senate, where he represents Georgia on the Armed Services, Banking, Budget, and Agriculture Committees.
