Senator David Perdue Comments On Appointment Of Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald As CDC Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) comments on the appointment of Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald to serve as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

“Dr. Fitzgerald has years of experience leading Georgia’s Department of Public Health and decades of experience in the medical field. She will do a great job leading the CDC. We’ve seen the CDC play a critical role in combating viruses like Ebola and Zika, and it will continue to be on the frontlines protecting our country and people around the world.
