“Over the years, these young women and men have excelled in academics, shown a high level of physical fitness, and demonstrated the moral and ethical values it takes to succeed in our Armed Services,” said Senator Perdue. “Now, they will spend the next four years preparing to lead America’s soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. This is a testament of their willingness to face challenges, deal with adversity, and serve our country. I have no doubt they will rise to meet the challenges of our time. Congratulations to these students on achieving this high honor, and thank you to their parents, families, mentors, and everyone who helped get them to this point.”
